How I got here

From the industry side to your side of the table.

I launched Rhodo Wealth in 2024 on a simple idea: financial advice should feel personal and built around people, not account minimums, sales goals, or a predefined model.

My path started in fintech, working alongside advisors and seeing the difference good advice made. That led me to the CFP® and into advising directly in 2019. After time at both independent and larger firms, I knew I wanted something different: an independent, relationship-driven practice where the advice stays objective and every recommendation starts with what is best for the client.

Independence is what makes that possible. No proprietary products, no quotas, no asset minimums shaping the conversation. I help clients with the decisions that matter most, from retirement and investments to tax, estate, and the transitions that arrive unexpectedly.

Many people come to me during a change: a loss, a divorce, a business sale, or simply wanting clarity earlier in life. Those relationships are why I started Rhodo.

Advice stays objective, and every recommendation starts with what's best for the client.

The name comes from rhodochrosite, a mineral tied to my grandfather's legacy and the values he stood for. Wealth was never the point. Stewardship, intentionality, and building something that lasts are what still shape how I work.

Outside of work, my wife Tessa and I are raising our two young children here in the Fox River Valley. Rhodo was a personal decision too: a business that lets me be present with my family while doing meaningful work. Financial planning should support life, not compete with it, and I bring that same belief to every client.

How I think about money

Four beliefs that shape every plan I write.

Planning beats predicting.

Nobody knows where the market goes next quarter. The plan you can stick with through the ride is the one that wins.

Behavior matters more than picks.

The biggest dollar moves in your financial life are the ones you don't make in a panic. That's why behavioral finance is a service, not an afterthought.

Fees should be transparent.

You should know what you'll pay before our first meeting. No commissions. No hidden incentives. No surprises.

Control what you can control.

Nobody controls the market, the headlines, or the timing. We focus relentlessly on what you can: your savings rate, your costs, your tax strategy, and making smart decisions.
